Adi's Life

Today while I was out of town working at another store my area manger called me. She called to ask if I would be interested in learning spanish. I told her definately. She told me that myself along with the other managers in our area are going to be attending a spanish class. The reason for this is that we get alot of Mexicans in the summer sending money home. It is hard when they come in because they can't understand us and we can't understand this. Hopefully this will help us this summer. And on the plus side I have always been interested in learning spanish.

Today I got to go and pick up a subpoena. Yes thats right I'm going to get to go to court. This is for a totally unrelated matter to the last post. The court date, not until September! That is a long time away. The incident that happened was last August. That will be more than a year later. That is a long time to have to remember something for. I guess that means no fleeing the country for me.

I had a big first today. I got to go to the police station and do a photo lineup.

Lets start at the beginning:

Last Sunday evening I was working alone when a woman came in. I can't go into great detail but she was trying to commit fraud. I had to go into the back while she waited for me to complete the transaction. I was really in the back calling the police. While I was on the phone with the dispatcher the woman bolted. So the cop showed up, I talked to him and gave him a written statement.

Last night while at work I got a call from the constible asking me if I could go and do a photo line up as they needed me to identify the woman so that they will be able to arrest her. So tonight I made my way to the police station. I got to see two hot cops. They took me upstairs to a little room. The session was video taped. I got to go through the photos. Afterwards the cop who was the one I dealt with talked to me and said that the one I said was her actually was. So now I may get to go to court. I just have to wait and see.

It is about time. I have finally started to branch out and have actually made a friend with someone that I don't work with. I still don't really know many people here and usually when I do go out and do something it is with one of the girls from work. I met a guy through one of the girls when we were out in Vancouver a couple weeks ago. We spent alot of the night together and ended up sharing a bed, we didn't have sex, just both slept in the same bed. We have talked online quite a bit since then and last week when I was really sick and didn't want to be alone he came over to watch a movie with me. Although it ended up him watching a movie and me sleeping. We have talked more and seem to have alot to talk about. Tonight he came over and we rented a movie and talked for a while. It is nice to have a friend that I don't work with and can just hang out and talk with. Nothing is awkward to talk about and we seem to have lots in common.

I can say things will be alot better if I start to have a bit of a social life.
