My Mom Rocks!

Monday, November 28, 2005
My mom is the best, and always has been. On Friday when I got home from work there was a package in the mail from her. In it was an advent calander for Erin, Kyle and myself as well as a scarf that she made me. This was so cool. It is always nice to get awesome little surprises like that.

School Girl Crush

Saturday, November 26, 2005
There has been this guy staying at the hotel that I work at for about a week. I have had the biggest crush on him pretty much since he got there. Every morning we would talk for a minute or two before he headed out to work. Yesterday I ended up having to work the afternoon shift. I got to talk to him a few times. This made me so happy. Last night he was leaving for home. On his way out he gave me his email. This made me so incredibly happy. I didn't know exactly what to write to him, but I did send him a short email this morning.

Update: Last night we talked online for a while. It was great:)

Cross Stitch

Wednesday, November 23, 2005
Yesterday I went to the cross stitch store because I heard that there was alot of stuff for 50% off. Coincidently I had been thinking of going there because I'm almost done the project I am working on. I think I ended up with about a years worth of projects. But it was a good deal. I bought a kit, a book and a pattern. I know I'll definately use the kit, this is because everything I need is included. The other things I have grand plans of using. Unfortunately I have never used a book I have bought before, so the odds are I won't use this one either. Oh well, there are cute patterns if one day I do get inspired.

The Post Office

Saturday, November 19, 2005
I am beginning to really dislike the post office. Before it just used to be a place I went to get stamps, now it is a place I have spent too much time at.

When I moved I went there to pay $30 and fill out a form to get my mail forwarded. This service is good for 6 months and I figured that would give me time to figure out who I needed to give my new address to. About a week later my ex called to tell me that I ha mail there. So I went and picked it up. I then went to the post office. I laid a guilt trip on the woman telling her I had to go to my ex's to get my mail. She looked and everything was how it was supposed to be and she said the carrier just must have missed it. She said she would make note for him since he was new. No big deal, I thanked her and figured I would get my mail at my place.

About a week later my ex phoned again telling me I had more mail. So off I had to go again to his house and then I proceded back to the post office. This time the woman working got her supervisor. She couldn't figure out why it wasn't getting forwarded and gave me and extra month for free and appolagized.

Today Erin checked the mail and I had a thing indicating I had a parcel to pick up at the post office. So off we went to get it. On the slip it said I owed $9.42. I didn't know who would send me something I would have to pay for. Well, as it turns out the mail forwarding is only for letters, wich nobody told me, and since this was sent to my old address I had to pay for it. I flipped out saying that nobody told me and that I didn't want to pay. She said it was on the form I filled out and if I wanted to fight it I could and she would send the parcel back. Well I needed what it was and told her no I would just pay but I am not that happy that nobody told me the address forwarding was just for letters.

Its Friday!

Friday, November 18, 2005
Today I get command start for my car. Yay! I can't wait. It will be nice once it starts to get really cold.

The interviews I did the other day, a total flop. Both of the people wanted to work full time hours. I can't offer full time hours, so it didn't work.

Last night I went with Erin to see Jarhead. It was an awesome movie.

Now it is time to go get ready for work.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Yay!

Tuesday, November 15, 2005
I have two people coming in for interviews tomorrow. I am not holding my breath, but it would be nice to have some extra bodies, especially with how busy we are.

Space Cadet

I had thought about what to write as a post and had an idea. I had opened everything and then I got busy. Now as I sit down to write I can't even think what I was going to write about.

I think I need to go back to bed.

The Dating Game

Wednesday, November 09, 2005
I've been single for over a month now. I can't believe how time flies. In some ways it doesn't seem like that long ago and in other ways it feels like forever.

Last week I decided to join a couple of dating sites. I did this because I don't really get out that much and thought it could be a good way to meet some new people. I joined Match.com as well as Date.com. I have been emailing back and forth with a couple of people. The whole getting to know you thing is quite fun. I don't expect anything to come out of it, but if something did I wouldn't object.

Yawn

Sunday, November 06, 2005
I am going to be so tired tomorrow, I can already see it. I have to get up at 5 for work, but I can't go to bed until 11. I guess I really could, but I want to watch Desperate Housewives. Damn stupid tv. I can't wait until tomorrow when we get satellite.

Today Ian finally took the rest of his stuff and I got to move back into my room. Tonight will be my first night sleeping alone in a long time. Now I just have to motivate myself to unpack and make it like a room. I'm also going to have to go bed shopping because all I have is one of those inflatable beds. It is very comfy but it just isn't the same.
