School and Computers

Tuesday, March 29, 2005
I did it. Yesterday I applied for school. It wasn't as hard or painful as I thought it would be. Now comes the long waiting process. I have to wait for the last college I went to to send my transcripts to this university. Then I have to wait for them to grant me transfer credits so I can start taking courses. They should just take my whole diploma and block transfer it so I can start right in the third year, if they don't I may have to take some first or second year courses. I really don't want to do that since I have already done the first two years, but I guess I will just have to wait and see.

Yesterday Kyle sold me a notebook. He is going to format it for me this week and get it ready to go. This was very awesom of him as it saved me quite a bit of money. I can't wait to have my very own notebook. I have never owned my own computer that is just mine before.

Happy Easter Everyone.

Hope that everyone has a good long weekend.

Snow

Tuesday, March 22, 2005
Wow, I can't believe how much it snowed this weekend. It was crazy. I was very glad when it finally stopped. On Sunday my car got stuck at my boyfriends house. I ended up staying overnight there and leaving my car there when I went to work on Monday. Erin was wonderful and she came and picked me up for work. Then her and me and Kyle went to Egans for dinner. I didn't even go and try to get my car yesterday. Today I took a cab to work and after work my boss was very kind and took me to my car and made sure I could get it out. He had to push it a tiny bit once, other than that it was a whole bunch of back and forth and it finally came free. I'm so glad that I got it out so I don't have to catch any more cabs.

Birthdays

Friday, March 18, 2005
Tomorrow is my boyfriends birthday and I have no clue what to get him. I have had a few ideas but I'm just not sure. I don't want to get him something stupid, but I also don't have alot of money to spend. I'm going to have to figure it out fast though since I have to go shopping after work today.

Have a great weekend everyone:)

Weirdness

Thursday, March 17, 2005
I had just gotten home from the gym today and finished up dinner and was just getting settled in to watch Dr. Phil when all of a sudden the cable goes off. And now there is no dial tone on the phones. Kyle just called and said the power is off at his work and some people came in and said that their cable is out. My routine at night is to watch tv and then go to bed. I really hope everything comes on soon. At least we have power though.

School

My plan has been since I've finished my business diploma to go on with school to get my degree and then eventually become an accountant. As of next month I will have been done college for two years. I have finally decided to just buckle down and do it. I already know where I'm going to go, so all I have to do is look into the program and sort of figure out a plan of attack. I also have to apply. I'm figuring in the next month I will apply. Since it is all through distance it is ongoing enrollment. Once you are accepted you can enroll and start at the beginning of any month. You then get six months to complete the course.

One of the things I'm going to have to do is buy a computer. I'm a bit excited about this. I've never owned my own new computer. I'm figuring laptop since it takes up the least amount of space and also then I can take my work with me where ever I may go.

I'm going to start with one course just to ease myself back into it, and I'm working full time. I'll see how that goes for the first course and go from there. I know that this is going to take longer than if I actually went to a university, but I don't really want to have to quit working and get a student loan to finish my schooling. And also through distance it doesn't matter where I live, so I'm not stuck in one town just because of school.

I'm still here

Well, here it goes again, I tried to post yesterday, but blogger decided to eat it on me.

I arrived back safe from my trip home. I really wasn't ready to come back yet. It was alot of fun, hopefully I'll be able to go back home soon. I really miss hanging out with my sisters. It is fun to just be goofy and silly.

I really don't like flying that much, so it was nice to be off the plane and know that I don't have to go on one soon.

I have spent alot of time catching up on blog reading, but I think I'm caught up know.

Hope everyone has an awesome weekend.
