Redecorating

Saturday, September 25, 2004
Yay, it's finally the weekend!! Well, almost. I have the next two days off, I'm just about to leave for work now.

Should be interesting when I go back to work on Tuesday. Starting tonight and through tomorrow they are revamping our store. A paint job, new signs, new floor, and hopefully even new desks. We already have the desks in the back, but they are bigger, so it is basically just rearanging everything so they will all fit in the store. I hope they can manage to do this.

This means near the end of the day we have to clear everything off of our desks. The only things that will be left on them when we go home will be the computers. I just wish that they weren't going to repaint it white. A colour would be alot nicer.

Anyway off to work I go.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Wondering

Thursday, September 23, 2004
Well, tomorrow I am supposed to find out about the job that I went for an interview for at last week. The thing that sucks is that I'm not going to be at work most of the day, hopefully they will call in the morning. I really want to get this job. Not only because I would love to have a bookkeeping job, but I also wouldn't mind leaving my job. Its not a horrible job, just not what I want to be doing.

And don't you worry, I'll post tomorrow if I hear anything.

Visitors

Wednesday, September 22, 2004
I am so excited. I just found out the other night that my Grandma and Mom booked a flight to come and visit me at the beginning of November. They are going to stay for five nights. They lucked out really good too, the day my mom booked the flight was the last day of a seat sale, so they got two tickets for how much they were expecting to pay for one. I can't wait to see my family. This is the longest I've ever been without seeing them. I miss them so so much.

Shelving

Tuesday, September 21, 2004
Yesterday I finally bought some shelves for my bedroom when I was in town with my boyfriend. I've been wanting to get shelves since I have moved so that I could unpack what little stuff I brought with me. He is kind enough to carry them to my house for me. He also said he'd put them together, but I told him that I was ok and could do it myself as long as I could borrow a screw driver. So I gather the necessary tools from his house and head on over to mine. I pull everything out of the box, look over the directions and proceed with assembly. Everything is great until I go to attach the bottom piece and realized that I have neglected to pay enough attention and the side is on the wrong side. Of course at this point the whole thing is almost together. I was mad at myself at this point because I had to take the whole thing apart and start all over again. It took way longer than it should of. But when I finally got them together they looked good. I unpacked everything and put it on the shelves. I then hung up the few pictures that I brought with me. My room, now looks like a room and not a disaster with a bed.

No Coffee!!

Sunday, September 19, 2004
I can't believe it, but my coffee maker is not working. This is so so unfair. I love my morning cup of coffee and know I can't have it. It worked fine the last time I used it, now it turns on but it doesn't heat up or anything. Yes, there is water in it, and yes there are coffee grounds in it, but nothing, nothing. I may just wither away to nothing.

Interview

Friday, September 17, 2004
Bright and early this morning I had an interview. It is for a job I would totally want doing something I actually like doing. It is for a bookkeeping job. Now I know your all thinking that I just started a job a couple weeks ago, and your right. But it is doing something I don't particularly want to be doing for a long period of time, so if I see any jobs for what I would like I am applying for the.

The interview itself was extremely short. The guy was pretty busy. He asked me if I have experience, which I do, if I prefered to be paid hourly or salary to wich I told him I had no preference. He asked where I was working and how much notice I'd have to give. He asked if I had transportation. Then he told me what computer program they use, wich is Simply Accounting and I told him that that is what I've used before. Then he told me that he'd call me next Friday either way. Five minutes.

I hope I get it.

Shower

Tuesday, September 14, 2004
So once again there is water leaking in our bathroom. Last night I got home from the gym and went to take a shower. I noticed the bath matt seemed a little bit extra wet, but didn't really think anything of it. I continued on with my shower. When I was done I opened the shower curtain to grab my towel and there was water pouring down from the ceiling through the heat light. So I grab my house coat and a soaking wet me goes and gets a bowl to put under it and goes to the managers apartment. Of course nobody is home. I get back and switch up the bowls since the one was getting pretty full. I then dry off and got on some clothes. I went up to the people above us to see if they have a leak and they don't. So I watched out the window until about 10 waiting for the manager to come home. I have left a couple messages now, she better get back to us soon. Until this is fixed we again have no shower.

Of course this has to happen on a night were I actually have plans to do something. After I got home from the gym I was supposed to shower and have a quick bite to eat and then go meet my boyfriend and a friend of his in town to play some pool and have a couple drinks. To say the least I was very pissed off.

Day Off

Sunday, September 12, 2004
Woohoo, I have today off! This makes me happy. It was nice to get up when I felt like it not when some dumb stupid alarm told me to. Today is going to be a day of laundry doing, relaxing, tidying up a bit, phone calling, tv watching and cross stitching. Wow, that seems like alot when I write it all down like that. It is a beautiful sunny day, though I'm sure it isn't actually warm out, but that doesn't matter, as long as the sun is shining I'm happy. If I can help it I'm not going to leave the building today because on my next day off wich is Tuesday I am going to have to do so much running around.

Damn Freakin Cold

Tuesday, September 07, 2004
I hate it, I hate it, I hate it!

What do I hate you say?? This freakin' cold weather. It is September 7 and already it is 0 degrees. From where I come from this time of year is still warm and short wearing weather not bundle up in a bazillion layers weather. I'm going to have to break out the winter wear. I'm not ready to stop wearing my summer clothes. And to top it off they are calling for snow tonight.

SNOW!! Have I ever mentioned that I hate the snow. Well, ya I hate it. ERRRR...I'm going to go and freeze my ass off now.

Oh, did I mention..I HATE THE COLD!

Update: Yes it did snow a bit last night..yuck

Tired and sleepy

Saturday, September 04, 2004
I can be so braindead sometimes. I like to get up about an hour and a half before I have to work, this way I can shower and get ready and then eat and enjoy a cup of coffee. This is how I do it every day. Well, last night setting my alarm I must of been on glue. I knew I had to work at 9:30 wich means leaving just after 9 to get there on time. So what time do I set my alarm for, 8??? My alarm went off and I was still dead tired so I hit snooze. I was going to hit it again when it occured to me that I know had less than an hour. Lesson learned, I can get ready and eat and enjoy a cup of coffee and blog surf and write a post in less than an hour. This is strange since I'm very tired and tend to move slow when I'm tired.

Well, off to work I go.
Hope that everyone who has a long weekend enjoys it. I know I'm going to enjoy my next two days off.

Bed

Thursday, September 02, 2004
I need my bed, having two weeks off is making this whole working thing hard. I mean I slept till 10am today and I'm already ready for bed. Yes, I did work almost nine hours, but still I shouldn't be wanting to go to bed yet.

The job is not to bad. I don't absolutely love it, but I don't totally hate it either, so I guess that would be a good thing. I figure I work here for a while and if I'm still not loving it then I will look for something else. I figure I may like it more once I'm trained and know what I'm doing. The worst is having to call clients like I was having to do today and tell them that if they don't come in and pay by the end of the month then they are going to collections.

Now I need to go find more food. I'm freakin' hungry.
